KCNC C6 Road Brakes
KCNC have redesigned their road brakes and addressed the weaknesses of their predecessors - the CB1
The C6 brakes are a lower spec version - still fully cnc'd, but from 6061 alloy instead of the more expensive 7075. They have stainless steel hard wear and springs instead of Ti.
The brakes have a higher leverage ratio to increase power, and have also been made stiffer by using a split calliper arm that allows the cable to be mounted centrally and avoids the twist experienced on the original design.
Another improvement is the addition of a brass roller on the guide pins - this reduces friction during braking resulting in a lighter action.
The pads have also been updated with a softer compound for higher stopping power.
All in - a great improvement in performance and at a more affordable price!
The split arm increases power and rigidity under load - and is the same design as the C7 shown.
