KCNC K5 Rectangular Road Rings
They call them "rectangular" chainrings, but they are an extreme a-symetric ring!! They are certainly not round!! Designed to reduce the effect of the "dead spot" as the crank arms come round top dead centre (12 and 6 o'clock).
They can increase power, they can increase efficiency, they can make you pedal smoother!
KCNC use what they call an ovality ratio of 1.225 on the K5 pattern rings, with a bi-radial symmetry offset by 88.3 degrees.
- 110bcd 39T and 53T Blade pattern rings
- Machined from Al7075 alloy
- outer ring is 6mm thick to improve stiffness
- inner ring is 5mm thick to save weight
- ramped with 10 pick up pins for smooth up shifts
- weight : 39T 59g 53T 146g
Note : because of the out-of-round shape the bcd is 110mm for 39T and 53T rings
